We believe that any successful structure is a reflection of all of the people involved in its creation.

A home reflects the hopes and dreams of the family that had it built, but great homes also draw from the experiences and vision of the architects, engineers, artisans, and builders involved.  To make sure our clients’ homes are as great as they can be, we provide most of the skilled construction services, or use sub-contractors we have a long history with. This ensures that each client’s vision is executed flawlessly, and their satisfaction is complete.

Project Specification Plan

Following an initial consultation we work with the project architect and engineer to develop detailed project specifications. These specifications reflect not only our client’s approved design, but also the materials and products to be used, and any local geological, legal, or zoning issues that need to be addressed or considered as part of the project. With fifty years of constructing homes we are rarely surprised at this stage, and can move quickly to creating the project flow plan.

Work Flow Plan

Once all interested parties have agreed on the project specifications, we create the project’s work flow plan. This lays out the sequence of all the activities that need to take place for a project to succeed: Installations, inspector visits, client status updates, and the work done by a potentially wide range of construction experts. To control costs, we watch the flow very carefully; we want each worker to show up with the prerequisite work or inspections completed so no time or money is wasted sitting around. We take great pains to schedule any sub-contractors with enough lead time to be sure they’ll be available when their skills are needed.

Construction Activities

With the planning complete, it’s time to execute. Each project is different, of course: one can involve one specialist for a day or two; another may need a full team for months at a time. We work on exteriors and interiors, and have some hard-to-find skills for special projects.
